1. Cookies we set
| Cookie | Purpose |
|---|---|
dp_acct | Your signed-in session (set after you redeem a magic link). Essential. |
dp_viewer | Remembers that a recipient unlocked an email/password-gated tracked link. Essential, set only on gated viewer pages. |
ph_*_posthog | First-party PostHog analytics cookie holding an anonymous visitor id. Set on the apex domain. |
_gcl_* / Google Ads cookies | Set by Google when our advertising tag is active, used to attribute visits and conversions to Google Ads campaigns. Loaded only when ads are configured for this site. |
2. Browser storage we use
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
ph_*_posthog (localStorage) | Mirror of the PostHog visitor id and session-replay buffer. |
sezi-cookie-notice-v1 | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice banner. |
3. What we don't do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not share PostHog product-analytics data with advertisers.
- We do not capture the contents of your PDFs in analytics or ads tooling.
4. Analytics and advertising
We use PostHog (product analytics + session replay) to understand how the app is used. All form inputs are masked and every document surface is excluded from recordings, so the contents of your PDFs are never captured.
When Google Ads campaigns are active for DocPulse, we load Google's gtag so we can measure clicks and conversions (signup and paid subscription). That tag may set Google advertising cookies as described above.
5. How to opt out
You have three opt-out paths for analytics and advertising tags, all of which we honor:
- Enable Do Not Track in your browser. When set, analytics and the Google Ads tag never initialize.
- Enable Global Privacy Control (GPC), recognized as a valid opt-out signal under several US state privacy laws.
- Block cookies for this site in your browser settings.
